A Day in Koh Lipe and How Much I Spent

Koh Lipe, a gem of southern Thailand! If you’ve ever thought about escaping to a tropical paradise, here’s everything you need to know about a perfect day on the island and how much it will cost.

Start of the Day: Breakfast at the hostel (included). Since breakfast was covered, I settled for a banana. Then, for lunch, I treated myself to a delicious beef noodle soup for 80 baht. There’s nothing better than enjoying a cheap local meal on the island, and I can assure you, the broth was so tasty that I couldn’t stop adding chili flakes!

Accommodation: I found a bargain at the hostel, paying 127 CAD per night (a great price considering the location), although the weather didn’t cooperate much as it rained for part of the day. But, that didn’t stop me!

Exploring: I decided to visit Secret Beach (and the entrance is free!). A hidden paradise where I made tons of memories, even though the weather was a bit gloomy. Later, we went to Sunset Beach to watch the sunset, but the weather didn’t work out. Still, the experience was great, especially since we had passion fruit mojitos for 100 baht.

Dinner: For dinner, I chose a green curry with fried rice and chicken, which was amazing, costing 100 baht. As always, local food is much cheaper than Western dishes.
